Strong Momentum Across Mining Projects
Quattro's Projects team recorded one of its strongest starts to theyear, delivering three of the best-performing months on record during the firstquarter of 2026.
This success reflects disciplined project planning, lessons learnedfrom previous projects, and a strong culture of accountability across ourengineering, construction, and project management teams.
Alongside delivering active projects, the team continued to strengthenlong-term operational support contracts across several major mining operations,while progressing significant paste plant tenders and expanding opportunitieswithin specialist paste operations.
This growing pipeline positions Quattro for continued successthroughout the remainder of 2026.
Fosterville Paste Reticulation Project Sets New Benchmarks
One of the standout projects of the year has been the Fosterville PasteReticulation Project in Victoria.
Following mobilisation under challenging conditions, including floodingimpacts affecting logistics, Quattro's crews quickly established momentum.During the first stages of the project, approximately 2,000 metres ofunderground paste reticulation pipework was successfully installed with strongsupport from our Products Division.
Over the following months, the team continued to exceed expectations byconsistently achieving installation rates that had previously been consideredunattainable by the client.
A key contributor to this success was the implementation of innovativepipe hanging systems combined with disciplined project execution, allowing theteam to deliver work safely, efficiently, and to an exceptionally highstandard.
The results have strengthened Quattro's relationship with the client,leading to the award of the next project phase involving the installation ofthe underground rising main. This work provides continuity for our crewsthrough the remainder of 2026 while reinforcing Quattro's position as a trusteddelivery partner for underground paste reticulation systems.
Porgera Paste Upgrades Progress Toward Commissioning
The Porgera Paste Upgrades Project in Papua New Guinea has reachedseveral significant milestones during the first half of the year.
Structural works are now largely complete, with current activities focused on:
- Process pipework installation
- Switch room constuction
- High-voltage trenching
- Moton Control Centre (MCC) installation
- Equipment terminations
The project remains on schedule to commence commissioning by the end ofAugust 2026.
Progress has been made possible through close collaboration between Quattro's engineering, construction, project management, and client teams, ensuring the upgraded paste backfill system is delivered safely and efficiently.
Big Bell Fan Installation Delivered Ahead of Schedule
Quattro also successfully completed a critical ventilation infrastructure project at Big Bell in Western Australia.
Working within a tight 48-hour shutdown window, the team removed existing primary ventilation fans and installed a new four-fan station while simultaneously completing associated civil works and southern fan installations.
Despite challenging site conditions, the project was completed six days ahead of schedule, demonstrating Quattro's ability to execute shutdown-critical mining infrastructure projects with precision, planning, and efficiency.

Celebrating 15 Years of Quattro
Fifteen years ago, on 11 April, Quattro began its journey with a clear vision and a small office borrowed from Byrnecut Offshore. From those early days, the company embarked on its first major project delivering a large capital works rollout on behalf of Goldfields Ltd, laying the foundation for todays capability.
One of Quattro’s defining achievements came in 2016 with the successful completion of its first paste plant at Cowal in NSW, a milestone that demonstrated the company’s capability to deliver complex solutions and marked an important step in its continued growth.
Innovation has remained at the heart of Quattro’s success. Over the years, the company has internally developed the vast majority of its product line, creating valuable intellectual property through its own engineering expertise. Quattro also pioneered the concept of the transportable paste plant which forms the foundation of a lot of our long term operating contracts to this day.
From its first project in the WA Goldfields, Quattro has steadily expanded its reach. The company has completed projects in every Australian state except Canberra and has generated revenue internationally through technical services and product sales across Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, New Zealand, Africa, Canada, the United States, and Europe.
Strategic collaboration has also played a significant role in Quattro’s journey. Partnerships with Metso and TPS have strengthened the delivery of tailings and paste plant solutions, while Rocktech has manufactured Quattro’s product range under licence in Canada since 2020, extending the company’s impact to new markets.
Reflecting on the past 15 years, Quattro’s MD points not to projects or products as the company’s greatest achievement, but to its people.
“I believe Quattro is full of fantastic, capable people and the culture we have managed to develop is really what keeps me motivated.”
15 years have been spent building capability and reputation and all of us at quattro are now looking forward to the next 15, building on what has been done and innovating our way into the future.
Last month, the Byrnecut Group came together for our annual Big Freeze fundraiser in support of Fight MND, collectively raising $18,830!
Across the Group, the managers stepped up to take part in the dunk and get behind a great cause, bringing plenty of energy, good humour and team spirit. Participants were selected in pairs from each entity, with the highest fundraiser from each pair taking on the dunk, adding a bit of friendly competition to the lead-up. Marcus and Belinda from Jetcrete were tied in the end, so both were dunked!
While the dunk is always a bit of fun, the purpose behind it is what really matters. Every dollar raised goes towards vital research and support for individuals and families impacted by Motor Neurone Disease.
A big thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and came down to support from the sidelines. Events like this are a good reminder of what we can achieve when we come together across the Group.
