Join our team as a Casual Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer, based at our Varsity Lakes office, where you'll gain hands-on industry experience supporting real projects, with the potential for a full-time opportunity upon completion of your degree.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with design calculations, analysis, and technical deliverables.
• Support project coordination, documentation, and reporting.
• Review vendor and manufacturer documentation for compliance.
• Assist with material preparation and testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions
• Collaborate with the drafting team on engineering drawings and design checks.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and data collection.
• Develop knowledge of Australian Standards and client specifications.
• Support compliance through review of technical documentation.
• Assist in proposal preparation and support client engagement.
• Actively contribute to the QPE team and support a positive team culture.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Senior Engineer.

• In the process of completing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Relevant industry experience will be considered to determine starting level.
• Be prepared to register with and work towards a Mechanical Engineering degree that satisfies the entry requirements for Chartered membership with Engineers Australia
• Excellent communication skills when working with cross-function teams.
• Ability and willingness to undertake travel as required to meet Project needs.
• Passion for quality engineering and exceptional client outcomes
• Time management and project coordination skills
• High level of attention to detail and documentation writing
